Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that enables a required shock absorption load to be obtained.SOLUTION: A second tooth forming member 50 includes: a first portion 52 rotatably supported by a fulcrum movable in a column axis direction X; and a second portion 53 forming second teeth 51 engaged with first teeth 41 that move in unison with an upper jacket 7. A guide mechanism 80 guides the second portion 53 in a tilt direction K tilting with respect to an orthogonal direction Z orthogonal to the column axis direction X. The guide mechanism includes: a guide shaft 81 supported by a lower jacket; and a guide hole 82 provided at the second portion 53, and forming a long hole extending in the tilt direction K. A second end 82b of the guide hole 82 is disposed further from the second teeth 51 than a first end 82a with respect to the orthogonal direction Z, and located at a position above XU with respect to the first end 82a in the column axis direction X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
