Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which can directly measure a yoke clearance and inhibit occurrence of abnormal noise without increasing the number of components.SOLUTION: A rack guide 20 slidably supports a rack shaft in a rack shaft direction in which the rack shaft configured to engage with a pinion shaft extends. A sealing member 40 seals the rack guide 20 in a housing 8. A biasing member 30 is provided between the sealing member 40 and the rack guide 20 and biases the rack shaft 3 toward the pinion shaft 5 through the rack guide 20. An opening 47 is formed at the sealing member 40. A steering device 1 is provided with an elastic plug body 50 which has a closing part 52 for closing the opening 47 and elastically deforms to maintain a distance (a yoke clearance C) between the rack guide 20 and the sealing member 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
