Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of reducing a deformation risk of a housing accommodating a rack shaft when a shock absorbing member is elastically deformed by a rack end caused by enlargement of steering angle of a steering wheel.SOLUTION: An end damper rubber 51 is elastically deformed by an impact load when the impact load is generated by a collision of a rack end 25 into a to-be-pressed member 52 caused by sliding of a rack shaft 23. A rubber deformation restricting member 55 is plastically deformed when the end damper rubber 51, which has been elastically deformed by the impact load towards an outer circumferential side up to an elastic limit, comes into contact with the rubber deformation restricting member 55.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
