Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of achieving complete assembly of a turning shaft bush onto a housing without separating the turning shaft bush into two or more bush segments.SOLUTION: A steering device includes: a rack shaft 13; a cylindrical rack housing 20 for retaining the rack shaft 13 to be movable in an axial direction A; and a cylindrical rack bush 80 included between an external face of the rack shaft 13 and an internal face of the rack housing 20 at an axial end part of the rack housing 20 and supporting the rack shaft 13 to be slidable in the axial direction A. The rack housing 20 has an annular groove 28 formed on the internal face. The rack bush 80 includes a flange part 82 projecting toward outward in the radial direction over the substantially overall periphery and fitted into the annular groove 28; a penetrating slit 83 penetrating in the axial direction A; and a first non-penetrating slit 84 extending in the axial direction A including an axial position in which the flange part 82 is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
