Abstract:
To provide a steering device that is able to ensure a new electrification path from a steering wheel to a vehicle body.SOLUTION: A steering device comprises: a steering shaft capable of being extended or shortened in an axial direction; a steering column including an outer column and an inner column fitted to each other so as to allow relative movement in the axial direction and supporting the steering shaft such that steering shaft is rotatable; and an engagement member fixed to the inner column. The outer column includes a guide groove that accommodates the engagement member, prevents rotation of the inner column via the engagement member, extends in the axial direction, and guides axial movement of the inner column; and a vehicle rear side portion disposed at an end of the guide groove and abutting on the engagement member, thereby restricting a telescopic adjustment range of the inner column in a vehicle rearward direction. The guide groove has a bottom part opposite the engagement member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
