Abstract:
To provide a steering device capable of causing a part of functions to remain when a failure occurs, while suppressing the enlargement of a steering motor.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 includes a first steering mechanism 3 that steers a left front wheel 6L, and a second steering mechanism 4 that steers a right front wheel 6R. The first steering mechanism 3 has a first ball screw nut 31 rotated by a first electric motor 21, and a first ball screw shaft 32 steering the left front wheel 6L by axial movement with rotations of the first ball screw nut 31. The second steering mechanism 4 has a second ball screw nut 41 rotated by a second electric motor 22, and a second ball screw shaft 42 steering the right front wheel 6R by the axial movement with rotations of the second ball screw nut 41. One of the first electric motor 21 and the second electric motor 22 can independently rotate while the other stops.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
