This steering gear is provided with: a yaw rate reaction compensation current calculator 35 for calculating a reaction compensation current in accordance with an actual yaw rate detected by yaw rate sensor 18; a norm yaw rate set in accordance with at least a steering angle and a vehicle speed; and a yaw rate deviation reaction compensation current calculator 36 for calculating the reaction compensation current in accordance with a deviation from the actual yaw rate. With this structure, a contribution of the yaw rate reaction compensation current calculator 35 is decreased more and a contribution of yaw rate deviation reaction compensation current calculator 36 is increased more as the deviation increases.
