Abstract:
To provide a steering lock device capable of preventing rotary operation when an electronic key is incompletely inserted and urging proper insertion.
Since a slider 31 is sunk from an outer peripheral face of a key cylinder 1 when an electronic key is incompletely inserted, one end of a check lever 32 is positioned across a groove part 33 of a cylinder casing 2 and a slider hole 30 of the key cylinder 1, and a block part 34 exists on a side of the one end. Therefore, the block part 34 is engaged with the one end of the check lever 32 to prevent rotary operation and urge proper insertion of the electronic key, even if it is attempted to rotate the key cylinder 1 in the direction of ON of an ignition switch.
