PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive steering rock device comprising a stationary cylindrical body and a rotor rotatably inserted in the cylindrical body and urged forward by a spring, and requiring a rearward push-in operation for the rotor during a turn from an ACC position to a LOCK position, and which can reduce the force for tuning the rotor from the LOCK position to the ACC position in order to enhance the manipulatability.
SOLUTION: A stopper tumbler 63 which engages with a first engaging surface 67 when a rotor 24 is located at an ACC position while it engaged with a second engaging surface 68 when the rotor 24 is located at a LOCK position, is attached to the rear end part of the rotor 24. The first and second engaging surfaces 67, 68 arranged at the rear end of the cylindrical body 22 so that they face rearward along a plane orthogonal to the rotating axis of the rotor 24, and the second engaging surface 68 is arranged in rear of the first engaging surface 67, being differed level from the first engaging surface 68.
