Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive tolerance specification by interposing a slip ring between a steering shaft and a key lock member so as to buffer a large destructive load generated instantaneously at a theft and to reduce the size and cost of a device by constituting the key lock member by sheet metal and constituting a pipe in swelling integral forming.
SOLUTION: This steering lock device is provided with the steering shaft rotated based on an operation of a steering wheel and the key lock member arranged on the outer circumference of the steering shaft, and the slip ring is interposed between the steering shaft and the key lock member. And as the key lock member, for example, a double-structured key lock member is constituted by a pipe-state member instead of the thick key lock member or the key lock member is constituted by combining a plurality of ring-state plates.
