Abstract:
PURPOSE: To keep off any possible deformation effectively in a steering locking device having a cylinder lock and an electronic unlocking means in combination.
CONSTITUTION: A steering locking device 10 is provided with a key cylinder 13 set up rotatably, a connecting means 14 connecting this key cylinder 13 and a housing 12 rotatably in a relative way, a knob 16 attached to an end of the key cylinder 13 being projected to the outside of a frame 11, and an engaged member 17 being shiftable to an engaging position to check any rotation of the housing 12 and an engagement releasing position to allow the rotation of the housing 12, respectively. Before a regular key is inserted into the key cylinder 13, a tumbler of the connecting means 14 is engaged with this key cylinder 13, and a slider 30 is projected into a key hole 13b of the key cylinder 13 by dint of resilience of a spring 32. The housing 12 and the key cylinder 13 are kept in a state of being impossible of relative rotation, and the housing 12 is held in a state of being unrotatable by the engaged member 17.
