Abstract:
PURPOSE:To help the operating force of a steering wheel by braking the inner side drive wheel when a self-running truck is turning its head. CONSTITUTION:The rotational direction of a steering wheel 16 is sensed by a strain gauge 30 mounted on the steering shaft. When the turning direction is rightwise, for ex., a current supply control circuit 36 supplies current to the righthand solenoid brake 26b serving for the right rear wheel 14b, which is situated inside in turning, to apply brakes thereto. Thereby the engine power transmitted from a differential gear 24 to the left and right rear wheels 14a, 14b is given chiefly to the left one, and thus its drive force with respect to the ground becomes larger than the drive force of the right one 14b. Thereby the operating force of the steering wheel 16 is assisted.
