Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a load put on each constituent, particularly a load put on a gear.
CONSTITUTION: When a steering wheel 1 is rotated, a handle shaft 2 and stopper arm 6 are rotated to rotate reversely an auxiliary shaft 4 and stopper 8 by the meshing of a first gear 3 with a second gear 5. The number of teeth of the second gear 5 is set more than that of the first gear 3 so that the wheel 1 can be rotated more than one revolution. A stopper arm 6 collides with the stoppers 8, so that the rotational range of the wheel 1 is regulated. Then, the rotational torque of the wheel 1 acts only between the stopper 8 and stopper arm 6 and does not act between the gears 3, 5, so that a load applied to both gears is reduced, especially high strength gears do not need selecting as the gears 3 and 5 and the life thereof is elongated.
