Title:
STEERING WHEEL SUSPENSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6444307
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain antidive geometry by simple structure in a pair of front and rear upper linkarms to connect a wheel supporting hubcarrier with a car body, by establishing the upper linkarms to have a relationship in which the rear upper linkarm incline upward when the front one is horizontal. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 1 is rotatably supported by a bearing 3 protrudingly provided on a hubcarrier 2. One side ends 6a, 7a of a pair of upper linkarms 6, 7 and those 8a, 9a of a pair of floor linkarms 8, 9 are pivotally mounted at front and rear positions in upper and lower parts of the hubcarrier 2 respectively. In this case an increase on a bumper side in a caster angle of a front wheel makes it possible to produce antidive effect, and then the other side ends 6b, 7b of the front and rear upper linkarms 6, 7, which serve as pivotally mounting points on a side of a car body of the arms 6, 7, are mutually established at an equal level in height, and on the other hand, the height of the side end 6a is established lower than that of the side end 7a.
