Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel including a pair of spoke parts 4 capable of absorbing impact load without increasing torsional deformation in the spoke parts 4 when impact load acts on a lower end side of a rim part 3 and by increasing bending deformation in the spoke parts 4 when impact load acts on a connection side between the rim part 3 and the spoke parts 4.SOLUTION: A through hole 10 is formed in the vicinity of a bent part 11a of each spoke part 4. The through hole 10 is formed into a circular cross-sectional shape at an intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of each spoke part 4 and at a center portion in the width direction of each spoke part 4. The through hole 10 is formed into a shape not to hinder torsional force generated in each spoke part 4 when impact load acts on a portion on a lower end side of a rim part 3. The through hole 10 is formed into a shape to increase bending force generated in each spoke part 4 when impact load acts on a portion side of the rim part 3 to which each spoke part 4 is connected. Thus, a desired effect in this invention can be provided.
