Abstract:
To provide a stem of a prosthetic hip join eliminating a gap, if any, between the proximal part of a femur and the back of the stem when it is secured to the femur.
The stem of the prosthetic hip joint has an upper end portion 11 facing the proximal side, and a back part 15 facing the greater trochanter 33 and is inserted and fixed in the medullary cavity 31 of the femur. The stem is formed with a through hole 17 open to the upper end portion and to near the proximal end of the back part.
