The construction machinery is so constituted that a part of an auxiliary plate is horizontally projected from the front end of a tread 14b of a step body 14 provided to the body and that the auxiliary plate 15 fixed to the step body 14 is provided. Accordingly, since a wider step area b can be obtained by the auxiliary plate 15, the step excellent in architectural design efficiency inclining a vertical wall 14a can be obtained. When the vertical wall 14a is formed in a vertical shape or an inclined plane close to the vertical, the wider step area of a tread 13b of a lower step 13 can be obtained.
