Title:
STEP-DOWN VOLTAGE REGULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3181966
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a voltage regulator with extremely high reliability and long useful life designed in order to reduce interference at an output end resulted from the switching of the power source element of 9T1 adjuster to the minimum.
CONSTITUTION: A voltage (VA') of a capacitor and an input voltage (VA) are detected, and as long as the input voltage is more than two applied threshold values (VTH1, and VTH2), both switches 16 and 19 are held to be on. When the input voltage is higher than the capacitor voltage (VA>VA') and smaller than the first threshold (VA<VTH1), the second switch 19 is switched to off, and when the input voltage is smaller than the capacitor voltage (VA<VA') and smaller than the second threshold (VA<VTH2), the first switch 16 is switched to off. A driving device 31 is provided between the switches 16 and 19 and an adjuster 17 for attaining the above mentioned process.
