PURPOSE: To provide a step structure of a fuel tank, which can be repaired easily.
CONSTITUTION: At the front part of a side panel 1 and a tank panel 2 respectively forming a fuel tank, a step is formed. The upper part of the front end of the side panel 1 is notched, and the upper side of the front end 2a of the tank panel 2 is also notched. The back surface of a step cover 3 having a nearly L-like vertical cross section abuts on the notch part except for the notch part extended to the upper and the lower of the tank panel 2, and the end surface of the step cover 3 abuts on the exposed side surface 2c of the tank panel 2 so as to be fitted, and they are welded. A support step cover 4 is fitted so as to cover the exposed end surface 2d and the exposed side surface 2c of the tank panel 2.
