Abstract:

To provide a step-up chopper controller of a wind power generator capable of avoiding continuation of step-up operation to generate excessive heat for degraded efficiency, by reducing a shock to a wind power generator and a pinwheel which is caused by abrupt increase of the number of rotation of the wind power generator after the step-up operation stops, and surely restarting the step-up operation.

A step-up circuit of a wind power generator 71 comprises a step-up chopper 1 with an operation stop function by a voltage signal, a bypass diode 22, commutating capacitors 31 and 32, and voltage dividing resistors 41 and 42 which divide a generated voltage and generate a voltage signal to the step-up chopper 1. A control unit 5 comprises a resistor 43 which is connected to the voltage dividing resistors 41 and 42 to further divide the generated voltage, resistors 61, 62, and 63 for detecting the generated voltage, a capacitor 33, and a transistor 51 which controls the current of the voltage dividing resistors 41 and 42 in proportion to the generated voltage.
