Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable independent adjustment and operation of two devices by providing a cylinder part on a braking drum, arranging one brake mechanism inside the cylinder part, penetrating its operation shaft through the cylinder part, fitting an operation shaft of the other brake mechanism arranged on an outer side of the cylinder part from outside.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder part 3 having a through-hole is formed on a metal braking drum 2 to be fixed to a vehicle seat or the like by means of a flange 5. A first operation shaft 7 is rotatably fitted to the through-hole, while a manually operating first operation member 8 is provided on its outer end. A brake mechanism is arranged on an inner side of the cylinder part 3, which mechanism is made up of an operation plate 9, a circular disc 12, brake blocks 24, 25, and the like. The mechanism is connected to a first device by means of a gear 37. A second operation shaft 46 is fitted to the first operation shaft 7 from outside, while a second brake mechanism which is made up of a second operation member 47, a lock drum 50, an operating coil spring 42 and the like, and interlocked with the braking drum 2, is arranged. The mechanism is connected to a second device by means of a second operation transmission gear 55.
