Title:
STEPLESS TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5973656
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the speed variation ratio with wide range and the high output torque by a structure wherein a differential gear mechanism, a speed variation cam, and one-way clutches are combined. CONSTITUTION:Several freely rotatable shafts 1 are arranged on peripheral direction and planetary gears 3, within each of which contains a one-way clutch 6, are assembled on a rotor 7 so as to let the shaft 1 freely rotate in one direction while fix its rotation in the opposite direction. An input shaft 8 and an output shaft 9 lie on a same straight line. The rotor 7 is fixed to the input shaft 8. An arm 13 fixed to the shaft 1 engages through a roller 14 with speed variation rings 15 and 16. The speed variation ring 15 can rock about a fulcrum 17 and is constituted so as to become eccentric to a shaft 11 by operating a speed variation lever 18. Because the output rotation has a forward speed variation zone and a backward speed variation zone including a standstill, a speed variation clutch becomes unnecessary, resulting in enabling to design the compact transmission.
