Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely rotate with less energy by carrying out appropriate correction drive when no-rotation is detected or when there is the possibility of erroneous detection of non-rotation despite the fact of rotation.SOLUTION: A stepping motor control circuit comprises, as a correction drive pulse P2, correction drive pulses P2, P2' of two or more types, which are different in energy from each other. When a rotation detection determination circuit 114 detects non-rotation of a stepping motor 109, a control part drives the stepping motor 109 with the first correction drive pulse P2. When the circuit 114 erroneously detects non-rotation although the stepping motor 109 has rotated, the control part drives the stepping motor 109 with the second correction drive pulse P2', which is less in energy than the case where the non-rotation is detected.
