Abstract:
To provide a stepping motor control unit capable of achieving accurate and stable card feed control at low costs.
The stepping motor control unit 20 has: a card detection sensor 4 for detecting the insertion of a card; and a drive pulse supply means for supplying a first drive pulse to a stepping motor 7 for driving a card feed mechanism until the card reaches a prescribed position after the card detection sensor 4 detects the insertion of the card, and supplying a second drive pulse having pulse speed faster than the first drive pulse to a stepping motor 7 after the card reaches the prescribed position.
