Abstract:
To provide a step motor drive mechanism with which it is possible to detect an external magnetic field by a step motor itself without using a magnetic sensor that is a separate component and supplying an appropriate drive pulse in accordance with the external magnetic field, thereby realizing stable drive with low electric power without being affected by the external magnetic field.SOLUTION: Provided is a step motor drive mechanism equipped with a step motor 20 having a rotor 21 and a coil and a drive circuit 10 for outputting a pulse to the step motor 20, characterized in that the drive circuit 10 includes a prescribed position pulse generation circuit 12 for outputting a prescribed position pulse for moving the rotor 21 to a prescribed position, and an induced current detection circuit 16 for detecting an induced current generated in the coil by the rotation of the rotor 21 after the rotor is rotationally driven by the prescribed position pulse, and there are included a determination circuit 4 for determining the presence of an external magnetic field in accordance with the induced current and a control circuit 3 for determining the state of an external magnetic field in accordance with the determination result of the determination circuit 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
