To provide a quiet and compact stepping motor that restricts displacement of a shaft in a radial direction inexpensively without changing the total length of the motor and reduces rattle noise.
A stepping motor includes: yokes each having a plurality of pole teeth that are formed like comb teeth and are circumferentially alternated; excitation coils that excite the yokes; a shaft that has a rotor magnet having an outer circumferential surface that is magnetized to form alternated different poles; and a bearing section that supports an end of the shaft rotatably. A bearing that supports an end of the shaft nearer to a stator rotatably has a hole that is formed so as to be slightly larger than an outer diameter of the shaft. The shaft extends through the bearing, and an end surface thereof nearer to the stator is hemispherically shaped. Urging means is provided for urging the hemispherical end surface in a thrust direction and a radial direction.
