PURPOSE: To facilitate securing of permanent rod magnet and to improve productivity by arranging plastic magnets, as the permanent rod magnets, between rotor teeth or stator teeth.
CONSTITUTION: A large number of small holes 106, 108 for forming rotor teeth 18 or stator teeth 28 are made through a rotor core 16 and a stator pole 26 by polishing the opposing gap faces. The small holes 106, 108 are filled with plastic magnets 110, 112, e.g. an epoxy resin dispersed with permanent magnet powder, which are subsequently cured. The rotor core 16 and the stator pole 26 are then polished from the gap face side by depths (a) and (b) so that the cured plastic magnets 110, 112 are exposed to the gap face side thus forming a permanent rod magnet. By such method, fixing work of permanent rod magnet can be obviated.
