To provide a stereoscopic display device capable of high quality stereoscopic display.
A stereoscopic display device comprises: a display panel 100 which has a plurality of pixels 120 to display an image; and a liquid crystal shutter panel 200 which is arranged opposite to the display panel and has a parallax barrier 210 to perform three dimensional display of the image. Each of the plurality of pixels has a luminous region 121 which is a region to emit light and a nonluminous region 122 which is the region other than the luminous region. The liquid crystal shutter panel has: a first transparent electrode 221 corresponding to a light shielding section 211 of the parallax barrier; a second transparent electrode 231 arranged opposite to the first transparent electrode; a liquid crystal layer 240 positioned between the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode; and an auxiliary electrode 260 which is electrically connected to either the first transparent electrode or the second transparent electrode and arranged so as to overlap with the nonluminous region when viewed from a direction normal to planes of the display panel as well as the liquid crystal shutter panel.
