To regulate the perspective feel of stereoscopic images to be photographed without requiring an intricate mechanism for changing the spacing of shutters.
The shutter images corresponding to the shutters for the left eye and the right eye are alternately formed in time sharing by a shutter image forming device 14 and are displayed on a transmission type LCD 12, by which the light of the image for the left eye and the light of the image for the right eye alternately are passed through part of the pupil surface of a lens 13 and another part thereof and the images are formed on the same image pickup element 11. The shutter images changed in the positions from the optical axes of the shutters for the left eye and the right eye are displayed the transmission type LCD 12, by which the intensity of the perspective feel of the photographed stereoscopic images is changed.
