To provide a stereoscopic image recognition device, capable of giving a viewer a stereoscopic vision regardless of a posture of the viewer wearing a liquid crystal shutter, in a simple constitution.
A stereoscopic image recognition device comprises a first polarizer 5 and a first λ/4 plate 6 provided sequentially on a display surface side of a display device 9, and a liquid crystal shutter glasses 1 provided between the first λ/4 plate 6 and a viewer 8. The liquid crystal shutter glasses 1 are provided with a liquid crystal shutter 2, a second λ/4 plate 3, and a second polarizer 4 corresponding to the left and right eyes of the viewer. The second polarizer 4 and the second λ/4 plate 3 are arranged so as to sandwich the liquid crystal shutter 2 between them and the first λ/4 plate 6. Such the constitution allows a viewer to obtain a shutter effect of a circular polarization mode.
