Abstract:
PURPOSE:To offer a stereoscopic viewing device which enables an observer to easily sense a three-dimensional image without feeling troublesome. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted by a light source 12 is reflected by a reflecting mirror 14. The reflecting mirror 14 has a concave reflecting surface 16. An object image body 18 for the left eye and an object image body 20 for the right eye are arranged in front of the reflecting surface 16 of the reflecting mirror 14. The object image body 18 for the left eye consists of a film where an image for the left eye is drawn. The object image body 20 for the right eye consists of a film where an image for the right eye is drawn. The images for the left eye and right eye have mutually different parallelax information. The transmitted light of the object image body 18 for the left eye and the transmitted light of the object image body 20 for the right eye are made incident on one surface of a directional transmission screen 22 consisting of a convex lens. The directional transmission screen 2 images a light image corresponding to the image of the left-eye object image body 18 on the left eye 24 and a light image corresponding to the image of the right-eye object image body 20 on the right eye 26.
