To solve the problem that conventionally there is no device for effectively processing a malodorous exhaust containing pathogenic microbes from animal experiment facilities or the like.
In this sterilization and deodorization device for a gas, the gas to be processed is introduced to an airtightly sealable filter housing box and processed and the processed gas is introduced. A filter for fine dust and the pathogenic microbes is disposed inside the filter housing box and a formalin steam injection means for sterilization and an ammonia steam injection means for neutralization are provided. A catalyst filter is disposed in a box for deodorization and an ozone injection means or an oxygen cluster is provided on the gas introduction side of the catalyst filter. Depending on odor components, a chemical filter is used.
