Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization device and a sterilization method, capable of achieving strong sterilization effect.SOLUTION: A sterilization device 1 is provided with a concave insertion part 2 having an opening oriented obliquely upward, in which hands of a user are to be inserted. When a detection part arranged in the insertion part 2 detects the insertion of hands, the information is transmitted to a control part 5. The control part 5 makes control such that the rotation of fan installed at an air inlet 3 and the power supply to electrodes in duct in the device are initiated. Air is suctioned into the device, and the suctioned air is passed through discharging electrodes so as to be ionized. The ionized air is expelled from the air exhaust nozzle 21 in the insertion part 2 for sterilization of the hands.
