Abstract:
To provide a sterilizer capable of correctly judging a cause when an amount of ultraviolet irradiation in the sterilizer decreases.SOLUTION: There is provided a sterilizer, including: a channel member 3 that forms a liquid channel 4; an ultraviolet light source 15 that irradiates a liquid flowing through the liquid channel 4 with ultraviolet rays 11; a scale detection sensor 20 that detects an amount of scale adhering to a surface of a liquid contacting member of the ultraviolet light source 15 in contact with a liquid; a cleaning mechanism for cleaning a surface of the liquid-contacting member; and a controller that performs any one of operations of (1) an operation of adjusting an output of the ultraviolet light source; (2) an operation of operating a cleaning mechanism to clean a surface of a wetted member; and (3) an operation of notifying a maintenance method of the sterilizer, based on measurement data of the scale detection sensor 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
