To provide a sterilization treatment device of raw sweet potatoes, performing sterilization treatment which brings raw sweet potatoes to a healthy condition while retaining quality, before preserving for a long period postharvest raw sweet potatoes for a liquor distilled from sweet potatoes, and giving sterilization treatment to raw sweet potatoes in a short period.
This sterilization treatment device 1 has a chamber temperature managing means 3 which is composed of a heater 4 heating a sterilization treatment chamber 2, a temperature sensor 6 measuring a chamber temperature, and a temperature control part 7 keeping a chamber temperature at a fixed temperature, a chamber humidity managing means 8 which is composed of a humidifier 9 humidifying the sterilization treatment chamber 2, a humidity sensor 10 measuring a chamber humidity, and a humidity control part 11 keeping a chamber humidity at a fixed humidity. Furthermore, the sterilization treatment device has a chamber CO2 concentration managing means 12 which is composed of a ventilator 13 ventilating the sterilization treatment chamber 2, a CO2 concentration sensor 14 measuring a chamber carbon dioxide concentration, and a ventilator control part 15 keeping a chamber carbon dioxide concentration at a constant value or below, and an airflow producing means 20 promoting sterilization treatment through applying light breeze of a low speed to raw sweet potatoes in the sterilization treatment chamber 2.
