To obtain a sterilizer capable of inhibiting the adsorption of a sterilizing liquid to a base fabric to exhibit an effective sterilizing effect by adding a specific surfactant to the sterilizing liquid containing a quaternary ammonium salt.
This sterilizer is obtained by wetting a base fabric (preferably a non-woven fabric) with a liquid containing (A) a quaternary ammonium salt (for example, a cationic surfactant comprising a quaternary ammonium salt such as benzalkonium chloride or benzethonium chloride) and (B) an amino acid-based surfactant (preferably an N-coconut oil fatty acid acyl-L-arginine ethyl.DL-pyrrolidone carboxylic acid salt). The component B is preferably added in an amount of ≥0.1 mg per g of the base fabric. The concentration of the component A may be a concentration used for usual sterilization treatments. The sterilizer obtained by wetting the base fabric with the sterilizing liquid may be used for various uses, such as the sterilization of outer skins and implements, in order to remove microorganisms.
