Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing apparatus capable of performing proper storage and sterilization of a water absorbing material without needing complicated treatments such as the charging of chemicals and water exchanging.
SOLUTION: The sterilizing apparatus performs a sterilization treatment of an object dipped in a liquid. The apparatus comprises a sterilizing tank 1 containing a liquid, an ultraviolet lamp 2 placed in the sterilizing tank 1, a treating tank 3 in which the liquid is stored and the object is dipped in the liquid, and a circulation means for circulating the liquid between the sterilizing tank 1 and the treating tank 3. The apparatus is constructed in such a manner that an air layer is formed in the upper part of the sterilizing tank 1, and the liquid near the air layer is sent out by the circulating means from the sterilizing tank 1 to feed it to the treating tank 3.
