Title:
STICK FOR PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3811435
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick for a percussion instrument for controlling delicately drum beating force and relaxing impact against the wrists of a player.
SOLUTION: The thin and long drum stick 11 comprises a base end part 14 positioned at its base end, a tip part 16 at the tip end, and an elastic bent part 15 provided to connect the end part 14 to the tip part 16. This constitution transmits to the end part 14 the impact occurring when beating a beating part 17 against the drum after relaxing it at the bent part 15, to relax the impact against the wrists of the player. A tip position 18 of a part held by the thumb and the index finger of the player is formed at the tip end side from the bent part 15. The player, therefore, can beat the drums without being affected by the elastic force of the bent part 15. This allows the player to delicately control the drum beating force.
