Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance rigidity of a suspension member by connecting the left and right side support members with a stiffening member extending in the vehicle width direction at a position before a cross member in the vehicle fore- aft direction as well as connecting the stiffening member and a center member.
SOLUTION: A basic structure of a suspension member 1 includes a cross member 2 extending in vehicle width direction and a pair of left and right side support members 3 extending in vehicle fore-aft direction from both left and right end portions of the cross member 2. A stiffening member 10 is placed laterally between front ends of the left and right side support members 3 in vehicle fore-aft direction. A center member 13 extends from the cross member 2 in vehicle fore-aft direction, and stretches so as to pass an upper side of the stiffening member 10. The side support members 3 which extends in vehicle fore-aft direction from the cross member 2 in an overhung state is connected by the stiffening member 10 so that the cross member 2 is less likely to be deflected and the rigidity of the suspension member l is enhanced.
