PURPOSE: To receive selected image data via a communication channel, to convert the data into still image data and to provide an output by providing a storage means for still image data, an output control means controlling output data and an output means outputting stored data.
CONSTITUTION: When an image selection means 202 requests image data of 30 frames/sec for a transmission means 201, the transmission means 201 sends requested image data via a communication channel. An image processing means 203 converts received image data of 30 frames/sec via the communication channel into still image data and gives the converted data into a VRAM of a storage means 204. The VRAM of the storage means 204 receives the given still image data and stores the data once as data for each image. Then an output control means 205 outputs the image data stored in the VRAM of the storage means 204 to a display device of an output means 206.
