Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stimulable phosphor having a high stimulated luminous intensity, to provide a radiation image formation method of a high detection quantum efficiency, and to provide a radiation image formation material.
SOLUTION: The stimulable phosphor is a rare-earth-activated alkaline earth trivalent metal oxide stimulable phosphor having chemical compositional formula (I): MIIOaMIII2O3:xEu, yLn [wherein MIII is Mg, Ca, Sr and/or Ba; MIII is B, Al, and/or Ga; Ln is La, Ce, Pr, Nd. Pm, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and/or Lu; and a, x, and y are numbers in the ranges: 0.5≤a≤5.5, 1×10-6≤x≤0.2, and 1×10-6≤y≤0.2].
