PURPOSE: The titled composition having improved storage stability free from fear of clogging of jet nozzle, obtained by blending a neutralized resin prepared by neutralizing an alkyd resin, etc. dissolved in a specific solvent with water and trichloromonofluoromethane in a specified composition.

CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. (calculated as solid content) neutralized resin obtained by neutralizing an alkyd resin and/or acrylic resin dissolved in a Cellosolve type solvent, e.g., ethyl Cellosolve, etc. with an amine, e.g., triethanolamine, etc. to a pH preferably 7.0W7.5 is blended with (B) 5W50pts.wt. water, and (C) 10W 100pts.wt. trichloromonofluoromethane and/or trichlorotrifluoroethane to give the desired stock solution composition for coating compound.

EFFECT: A film having improved surface smoothness, adhesivity, water resistance and acid resistance can be obtained.
