PURPOSE: To increase housing amount and perform extrusion one by one in a stocker device for semiconductor chips by moving a multi-step housing rack magazine between carry-in and carry-out positions in a circulating manner and partitioning circulation passage in several sections any of which is defined as a housing section with carry-in and carry-out means provided therein.
CONSTITUTION: When lead frames extruded from a wire bonder are carried into the carry-in position of a stocker device mainframe 17 through a belt conveyor 23, a stopper 40 at a rack loader section 33 is lowered and a rack magazine 29 are moved to the carry-in position to align the housing groove thereof to the belt conveyor 23. Then, the lead frames are housed in the rack magazine by a pusher 28. They are moved to an unloader section 34 through a carrying passage 31 after housed in all by lowering the magazine 29 step by step. The empty magazine 29 having served for one by one extrusion is carried to the loader section 33 through a carrying passage 32. It is thus possible to increase housing amount and perform extrusion one by one.
