Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the efficient knitting of stockings having patterns of different designs formed on the same course in at least a part of a patterning part with a stocking pattern knitting machine having a feeder for a ground yarn and the first and second feeders for two patterns according to computer control and further carrying out knitting with a stocking pattern knitting machine without causing the pulling or a course mark.
SOLUTION: This method for knitting comprises keeping clearing cams in respective feed parts in an inoperative state, feeding a ground yarn Y1 from a feeder 2 for the ground yarn Y1 and a pattern yarn Y2 from the first feeder 3 for the first pattern of each yarn feeding part, selecting optional knitting needles (n) according to the pattern in a part of the feeder 3 for the first pattern, selecting the optional needles (n) in a part of the feeder 4 for the second pattern with a needle selecting means, lifting the needles (n) to a clear level L3 or passing the needles (n) in an intact tuck level L2 without selecting the needles, carrying out the knitting and thereby patterning different designs such as a spiral or a tuck pattern.
