Title:
STOCKING METHOD FOR INK JET RECORDING HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02507
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce aging change of various properties regarding the discharge of ink even if it is left to stand for a long period in which environmental temperature is varied by electrically commonly connecting terminals connected to a plurality of energy generating means by conducting means.

CONSTITUTION: A conductive clip 13 as one of conducting means having sufficiently small resistance value is so mounted as to electrically short-circuit the electrode terminals 9 of each piezoelectric element 8 or to discharge the charge of the element 8. The clip 13 is a conductive component for discharging the charges of piezoelectric elements generated by a stress to the element 8 upon change of an environmental temperature, and attached, for example, in a state that it is brought into close contact with electric connection terminals 10, 11 at the end of a flexible cable 3. With this structure, even if it is left to stand for a long period as an ink jet recording unit, it can prevent the head from deteriorating in its recording performance.
