To provide a door for a stone lantern and a stone lantern which are user-friendly and moreover, superior in general applicability.

Hinge pins 3L and 3R are provided at the vicinity of the left side and the right side of a door body 12, respectively; and door attachment/detachment of the left side and the right side doors, 4L and 4R, are provided at a fixed part 11, corresponding to each hinge pin, 3L and 3R. At the door attachment/detachment of a left side door 4L with the hinge pin 3L of the left side kept pivotted as hooked at a pivot 41, the door body 12 can be moved rotationally about the hinge pin 3L of the left side, and "left-opening" can be achieved. At the door attaching/detaching part of a right-side door 4R with the hinge pin 3R of the right side kept pivotted as hooked at a pivot 41, the door body 12 can be moved rotationally about the hinge pin 3R of the right side, and "right-opening" can be achieved. As a result, the "left-opening" and the "right-opening" can be operated selectively.
