Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a stop controller of simple structure by arranging liquid- crystal cells at the position of a lens system.
CONSTITUTION: When a signal which corresponds to an aperture value is supplied from a camera photometry system, the contactor of a resistance body 5 rotates to vary a voltage applied to a liquid-crystal layer 2, and then the transparency of the liquid-crystal layer 2 varies, thereby allowing light which has intensity corresponding to the aperture value to pass through it.
