Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the exchange of a packing without shutting-off the flow passage of the valve possible in the full open state of a valve body by a structure wherein a sealing part is formed by the peripheral edge of the through hole for a valve stem to pass through a cover. CONSTITUTION:The inner peripheral surface of the annular protruded part 82 of a valve body 8 is fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of the annular protruded part 21 of a cover 2 by pivoting a handle 5 so as to move a spindle 4 upward or to slide the valve stem part 83 of the valve body 8 upward in order to seal between the cover 2 and the valve body 8 by means of an O-ring installed in an annular convex groove provided on the outer periphery of the annular protruded part 21. Said cover 2 is pinchingly supported by the flange 31 of a cap 3 and, after that, the cap 3 is removed by disassembling a fixing jig fixed to a flange 15 at the upper part of a main body 1 in order to be able to exchange a V-packing 16 with a new one.
