Title:
STOPPER TYPE MOLTEN METAL POURING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0985427
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent the sticking of molten metal by arranging a groove and/or a hole penetrating the inner surface of a sprue cup in a mold between the surround of the sprue cup and inner diameter at the nozzle end part to flow the molten metal remained in the upper part of the sprue into the sprue cup.

The inner diameter (a1) of the opening part of the nozzle 2 end part is larger than the inner diameter (b) of the opening part of the sprue cup 4 and the groove 8 or the hole penetrated through the inner surface of the sprue cup 4 is arranged in the mold between the mold 3 around the sprue cup 4 and the inner diameter (a1) of the nozzle 2 end part. The lower surface of the nozzle 2 is brought into close contact with the mold 3, and during pouring the molten metal, the molten metal is not brought into contact with the lower surface of the nozzle 2 and the sticking of the molten metal is reduced. Further, the residual molten metal around the upper part of the sprue cup is flowed into the sprue cup 4 by the groove or the hole penetrated over the inner surface of the sprue cup 4 of the mold 3. By this structure, the sticking of the molten metal to the inner surface of the nozzle 2 is eliminated, and at the time of pouring molten metal into the mold 3 at the following time, the removal of the stuck molten metal is unnecessary, and the production efficiency can be improved.
