To provide a stopper for a wheel which certainly fixes the wheel on a rolling surface such as the ground, a floor surface, by lightly making a pair of stopper members cut into the front and the rear of the grounded wheel.

This stopper for the wheel is provided with: the stopper members 13, 14 to selectively occupy a wheel fixing position to fix the wheel 12 bit on the front and the rear of the grounded wheel 12 and a wheel releasing position; stopper supporting members 15, 16 having these stopper members on free ends and supported on a wheel supporting member 18 by a shaft 17 free to oscillate these stopper members between the wheel fixing position and the wheel releasing position; a spring 25 to energize the stopper members in a direction to make them bite on the front and the rear of the wheel 12; a holding means at the wheel releasing position of the stopper members; and a stopper member operating part 15a to move the stopper supporting members.
